Who are we?
PROYECTO DE VIDA provides comprehensive support to young boys and girls through several programs focused on developing their skills and abilities and healing the emotional damage they suffered in the early stages of life so that they can build their own LIFE PROJECT .
The children and teenagers we support are between 4 and 18 years of age and are all referred by the state’s Office for Comprehensive Family Development (DIF).

Our story
PROYECTO DE VIDA, I.A.P. was founded in November 2008 prompted by the desire of a group of individuals to help children with no family member to care for them comprehensively. The first seven boys arrived in February 2009 and the following programs were implemented: Education, Human Development, Physical and Psychological Health, Culture and Recreation, and Sports. In July of the same year, construction started on a second building to take in girls, who at that time were mainly the sisters of the boys who were already at our home. This was made in an effort to maintain family bonds.
From the beginning, the institution has had a full-time psychologist on staff to help the youth overcome emotional damage suffered during early childhood and to strengthen their capacity for individual development. We currently give support to 31 children and teenagers of both genders.
We are located at the municipality of Ezequiel Montes, in the state of Querétaro, at the following address: Adolfo Ruiz Cortines No. 3, Barrio de Santa María, Villa Progreso, ZIP code: 76670.

We have established a strategic partnership with Fundación Quiera —the charitable arm of the Mexican Banking Association (ABM)— to obtain support on areas such as training, institutional capacity building, education, mental health, project financing, networking and consulting. We are part of the Queretaro Network of Children’s Homes and are affiliated to the Merced Queretaro Foundation, from which we permanently receive advice and training for the strengthening and professionalization of the institution, as well as financial and in-kind donations.
